Outfit Of The Day: Paradise Skull

Hi everyone! I'm just going to write a very short blog today to let you know about my most recent bargain purchase and my revelation.

Now, I'm usually very against shopping at Primark. It's not a snobbery thing, I'm just not a fan of their designs when I can get the originals from Topman or River Island. Well it's true.

However, there have been a few occasions where Primark has surprised me and this was one of them. I looked through all the new stock and saw nothing. I looked through the older stuff, nothing. Why I went to the sale rail I do not know, but it was a good idea!

Hidden in the middle of the rail I found this grey, over-sized sweatshirt with a skull design on the front. I have mentioned my love of skulls on a number of occasions so you can imagine my excitement. The pink skull is designed with palm trees and anchors, I'm not sure why but I like it. It's very unique and reminds me of summer.

I styled it with some red, carrot jeans. Now I have issues with coloured jeans but that story is for another time. These are the only pair I own and I hardly ever wear them. However, I thought that they worked well with the skull and the jeans being a similar colour.

It just shows that you can find great clothes in places that you don't usually shop and you shouldn't stick to just one store.

Outfit Of The Day: Varsity

Today totally confused me, well the weather did at least. I wasn't sure if it was hot, cold, windy or going to rain! Nevertheless, I set my camera up and took some photos like a champion!

Let's rewind to about a year ago varsity jackets were immensely popular, literally everyone had one. All the stores had similar designs with the the same colour schemes. When I started looking around the stores to buy one I wanted something to stand out from the average design.

After failing to find anything amazingly unique in stores I moved my search online. It was there that I found what I wanted. At the top of the Google image search was Rihanna in the most gorgeous varsity jacket I had ever seen. The body was a black, checkered pattern and the sleeves were black leather. I was in love!

Why didn't I buy that jacket you ask? Because it was a A.P.C x Carhartt Schopenhauer jacket priced at $530. Safe to say that this was way out of my budget.

I know that Rihanna wears the best clothes but I was still gutted about the price. Still determined, I kept online and searched for a cheaper alternative. Now I don't know about you, but I think my Voi jacket is the perfect alternative to the Schopenhauer piece.

Like I mentioned, my jacket is by Voi and I bought it online for around £35. Yes £35, I honestly don't know how I do it. I added it to the basket and checked out in less than 20 seconds.

As you can see with my jacket, the body is a speckled grey design and the sleeves are faux leather. The only issue I have is the inside lining. I really wish it wasn't bright red checked, I think it cheapens the look. However, I still love it and I always wear it during the colder months. I bought my jacket a size bigger so I could achieve an oversized look that is perfect in the winter.

Today I styled my jacket with one (of many) of my Boy London tees. I always like to wear a bright t-shirt under dark jackets make the shirt pop!

I hope you all enjoyed today's story! What do you guys think of today's look?

Outfit Of The Day: Chanhell

Today I will introduce you to a t-shirt I bought probably over a year ago. It still remains one of my favourites and I'm going to tell you why.

To start, it's made by Empty Casket a store that I stumbled across on Tumblr. I saw that they were advertising this very shirt and I just had to get it!

I really love the Chanel symbol with the Empty Casket logo embedded into the centre. Moving down it says 'Chanhell' in bold print before 'no 666' (a reference to Chanel No. 5) and then three inverted crosses at the bottom. Awesome! I think all 3 elements really work great together and shows that the company has actually thought about the design rather just sticking a massive Chanel logo on the shirt like many companies.

When I bought this shirt it was priced at around £12 which I thought was a great price as most independent companies have higher prices than retail stores. Just to note, the shirt was limited edition so unless they bring it back it will be pretty hard to get hold of.

I styled my shirt with some simple jeans from ASOS that I rolled at the bottom to style them with my BK high-tops that you've seen lots.

I really suggest popping over to Empty Casket's site and checking out their stuff.

(Disclaimer: Empty Casket did not sponsor me for this post, all opinions are my own)

Iced Rainbow AW13 Collection

Hi everyone, today I'm going to be reviewing the brand new collection from IcedRainbow Jewellery. I was given the opportunity to take part in a secret sample sale just for bloggers and given a sneak peak of the new IcedRainbow AW13 jewellery collection.

I've worked with IcedRainbow previously so I was intrigued to see how the company had evolved since the last time I reviewed some of their pieces. Personally, I believe that the quality of their products has improved dramatically from the last time I worked with them.

After viewing the new collection, I decided to get the Silver & Black Leather Twist bracelet and the Judas Bracelet 2nd Edition as I personally think these are two of the most fashionable pieces in the new collection. When I received them in the post (after only a few days after contacting) I was shocked to see how well made the items were.

I have previously bought jewellery from Topman and River Island and the quality couldn't be any further apart. The pieces from IcedRainbow just feel more expensive. I've wore both these bracelets while I've been travelling and I have received positive comments when they have caught someone's eye.

The new collection has a more chic look replacing the bright neon colours of summer and introducing darker metallics for Autumn and Winter. I feel that this new collection is very elegant and the jewellery would be perfect for a dinner party or high-class event.

I spoke to founder Tom who stands by the phrase "don't just follow a trend make a new one" which I think is crucial for any independent store trying to make themselves known in the business.

Tom has had many celebs wear his jewellery including Beverley Knight, Nicole Scherzinger and Scott from Geordie Shore. It's clear that his collection is becoming more popular by the day and it's only a matter of time before we see IcedRainbow in stores.

I highly recommend checking this store out if you're looking for great quality, handmade jewellery. The new AW13 collection will be available very soon so keep checking out the website or their Twitter for details,

Outfit Of The Day: Birds

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend, I know I am! Today I decided to take my camera out and shoot an Outfit Of The Day because I am seriously loving my new sweatshirt.

I went shopping last week when my mum began to waft this sweatshirt in front of me. Usually me and my mum are polar opposite when it comes to clothes, if she likes it I usually don't. However, this was one of those strange occasions where we were both going "ooooooh, I like that!"

So where did I find this magical piece of attire? I found this little treasure in H&M on a sale rail for £9. I should update my CV to professional bargain hunter!

The sweatshirt has a bird design on the front (I think it's a swallow, leave a comment and let me know) that covers the entire body of the shirt as well as the top of the shoulders. The birds are flying in different directions and are beautifully coloured. I thought the birds looked very similar to the swallow tattoo that everyone is getting at the minute, which initially drew me to buying it.

The material is very thin meaning it is perfect for wearing in warm weather if you are tired of wearing t-shirts. However, because the material is so thin I wouldn't wear it out in cold weather. The shirt was created to be fashionable not to serve a warming purpose, which is totally cool with me.

I decided to pair my new sweatshirt with some new joggers I bought recently from Republic. They are made by Jack & Jones and are my new favourite pair of joggers. They are a mottled grey design with the logo beautifully presented on the left leg. They only cost around £15 so I'm considering them a bargain too.

So that was today's outfit. I have had such a busy week and cannot wait to have a relaxing weekend. It's all lies, I will be extremely busy this weekend. I have an exciting post coming soon about a certain jewellery company...stay tuned!

Outfit Of The Day: MASATO JONES

Firstly, I must apologise for the quality of the photos today. It was a mix of rubbish weather and my terrible photography skills. We should all pretend I was trying to be artistic and cool, I can get away with that right?

Moving on, lets talk about my t-shirt! It is created by British based fashion designer Masato Jones for his MASATO collection. Jones, born in Tokyo, moved to England which is where his fashion life began.

I found out about this particular brand on Twitter when they were promoting this limited edition shirt. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one but never got round to blogging about it. This t-shirt is nearly sold out so if you want one you have to be quick!

This brand is seriously making it's mark on the fashion industry and is slowly becoming recognised more and more though various fashion events and shows. The brand will no doubt become even popular as MASATO will proudly open Leeds Fashion Show in October. This is very exciting because your favourite blogger might be going.

I suggest you all head over and check out the MASATO collection, it's awesome!

Style Obsession: Hyuna

Today I wanted to do something different from my usual Outfit of the Day posts and so I decided to do a profile on one of my biggest style inspirations, Korean performer Hyuna. If any of you follow me on Pinterest, you will already be aware of my love for this woman, if not, get ready for me to fangirl.

Some of you may know Hyuna from dancing in Psy's Gangnam Style video, from being in girl group 4Minute or perhaps this is your first time hearing about her. I first discovered Kim Hyuna late last year and have been totally obsessed with her style ever since.

Hyuna isn't affraid to wear bright, eye-catching outfits when she's performing. She has a very sexy style but she remains playful as she wears 'Micky Mouse ears' and 'Bride-to-be' sunglasses. Cool doesn't even come close to how amazing her image is.

Her video Ice Cream is my favourite of hers because of all her colourful looks. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend checking it out. If not for the outfits then for the song, catchy would be a huge understatement. Her music videos are all about the aesthetics which means her wardrobe is always on point.

I try to inject as much of her style into my wardrobe as possible. Although, it is difficult as most of her outfits are for her performances and not the everyday. However, I try to add more colour to my life and not depend on black and grey so much.

(Disclaimer: None of the photos used are my own.)
